The Career Decision Method

Trade overthinking the decision for trusting the one you’ll make.

If you're a fellow high-achieving woman lawyer or corporate leader and have been quietly going back and forth between staying and leaving, this is for you. Over 4 live weeks, you'll test whether it's the job, how you're working in it, or something else before making a career move.

You might be running the same question in circles for longer than you'd like to admit, stay, leave, pursue something else entirely, and no version of the answer has felt like something you can stand on confidently.

You might have built a career out of figuring things out, handling what needed to be handled, and solving tough, overwhelming problems. But this one is different. It's your career. It's your life, and whatever you choose, there's a tradeoff. There's something you’ll gain and something you’ll be giving up.

There might be a quieter question underneath the practical one you might be asking yourself: What if I make the wrong call and regret it?

You've been waiting for the decision to feel obvious, but it's still lingering.

You're not stuck because you're missing something. You've just been doing this alone, without a process for evaluating what’s actually happening.

You've been waiting for the decision to feel obvious, but it's still lingering.

You're not stuck because you're missing something. You've just been doing this alone, without a process for evaluating what’s actually happening.

In the Career Decision Method Program, you will:

1. Diagnose what's actually driving the pull.

You'll get clear on what's working, what's not, and what you actually want more of, so you know exactly what you're solving for, not just that something feels off.

2. Test the pull to leave.

Before staying or leaving get weighed against each other, you'll test whether the real issue is the job, or how you're working in it.

3. Know how to decide, not just what.

So whatever you choose, it's a decision you can stand on, not one you're still questioning six months from now.

Here's what's different for you at the
end of these 4 weeks:

  • Know exactly whether it's the job, or how you're working in it, or something else.

  • Understand what you're actually optimizing for: income, flexibility, growth, time, peace—in your own words, not someone else's definition of what you should want.

  • Decide your next move proactively and strategically, not out of frustration or desperation.

  • Stop the endless loop of replaying the same questions with no new answers.

  • Go from overthinking and circling the decision to trusting the one you made, because you know it's right for you.

What's Inside the Program Week to Week

Week 1

Assess Where You Are

Before you decide where to go, you need to get clear on where you are and who you are now. You’ll take stock of your strengths, values, what you want work to mean and provide in your life, and what’s actually happening in your current role.

You’ll have a clearer read on yourself and your current reality, including what’s working, what isn’t, and where there’s misalignment.

Week 2

Clarify What You Want

You'll be able to name what you actually want, in your own words, not the version you've been telling yourself you should want.

You'll get specific about your real tradeoffs, what you're no longer willing to tolerate, and the fears getting in the way.

Week 3

Evaluate Your Options

You’ll take what you now know about yourself, your current situation, and what matters most to you at this time and use it to evaluate your options, which might be staying and recommitting, pursuing a promotion, renegotiating your role or expectations, planning a strategic exit, or something else that works for you.

You’ll look at each path against the criteria you’ve defined, so you can see which options actually align with what you want despite the fear and uncertainty surrounding it.

Week 4

Decide & Move Forward

You'll have a direction you trust and a plan to back it up, three to six months out or more (depending in your situation). You'll be clearer on the purpose behind your decision, rather than letting fear, resistance, or overwhelm dictate your direction.

If leaving is the answer, you'll know where you're headed and why, with a strategic, thoughtful exit plan.

Decisions Clients Have Made Using This Framework

“My sessions with Arivee helped me realize my optimal career path. As an attorney, I felt constrained by conventional expectations and wasn't sure I was on the right one. Through her structured questions and direct feedback, I realized what I was looking for wasn't external, it was something I had to find within myself. I've now integrated my professional and personal priorities, and I'm on a path that actually fits.”
— D.H., Law Firm Principal

“I've gained a much clearer picture of my career trajectory and personal values. The work I did with Arivee gave me the courage to be honest about the career I truly wanted, instead of the one I thought I needed to look successful. The end result: a new career I absolutely love, and boundaries that let me actually enjoy my personal life.”
— V.S., In-house attorney

“I was in a demanding role and knew I needed stronger boundaries, but I wasn't ready to make a big move yet. This work didn't push me toward a bigger change than I wanted. I practiced setting boundaries, got more comfortable saying no, and my role became manageable while I prepared for what was next. Eventually I did move, into a Director of Legal Affairs and Compliance role I actually enjoy, with a supportive boss and no more Sunday-night dread before the week starts.” — L.L., Big Law lawyer turned In-house Executive

“I didn't know where to start or how to get out of the position I was in before I started working with Arivee. It was hard at first, I was barely sleeping five hours a night and using my weekends just to catch up. But I focused on what I had to gain and what I had to lose, and it became easier to hold my boundaries. I'm sleeping seven to eight hours a night now, and I'm finally healthy, emotionally, mentally, and physically. I can't ever go back to the person I was.” — Jessica, Corporate Executive

Bonuses

  • Bonus 1: Setting and Protecting Boundaries: You're already stretched thin, and adding four weeks of live sessions and reflection work can feel like one more thing you don't have room for. This workshop gives you the tools to actually protect the time this decision deserves, so the work fits into your life instead of competing with it.

  • Bonus 2: Untangling Self-Worth from Work & Achievement: Part of what makes this decision feel so high-stakes is that your worth has been tied to performing, achieving, and staying the course, so questioning any of it can feel like questioning yourself. This workshop helps you separate who you are from what you do, so you can test the real question without it turning into a bigger identity crisis than you signed up for.

Frequently Asked Questions

I don't have time to do this work. How is this different from one more thing on my plate?

This isn't designed to compete with your schedule, it's designed to fit inside it. Four 90-minute live sessions, with replays if you miss one, and reflection prompts built to take minutes, not hours. The Boundaries bonus workshop is specifically built to help you protect the time this decision deserves, so the work supports your life instead of adding to it.

What if this opens up more change than I'm ready for?

This program isn't built to push you toward a bigger change than you want. The whole point is testing what's actually true, whether it's the job, or how you're working in it, before anything gets decided. Some people finish this program and stay, with real changes to how they're working. Others finish and leave. Both are valid outcomes, and nothing here pushes you toward one over the other.

What if I go through this and still don't know what to do?

You won't leave with someone else's answer, you'll leave with a process for finding your own, one you can actually trust. Week 4 is specifically built around making the call and building a real plan around it, not just gathering more information. If you show up and do the work, you'll have more clarity than you started with, even if the final decision takes a little longer to settle.

What if I can't make a live session?

Replays are included for every session, so you won't miss the content. That said, the live format matters, working through this in real time, with the group and with me, is part of what makes the process work, so I'd encourage you to prioritize attending live when you can.

How much time does this actually take each week?

Beyond the 90-minute live session, plan for some time between sessions for reflection work, it's built to be focused, not a research project. Weekly office hours are optional if you want extra support, but they're not required.

What support do I get beyond the live sessions?

You get the live sessions, replays, and weekly office hours throughout the 4 weeks. Participants also have the option to add single 1:1 coaching sessions, available up to 3 months after the program, if you want more individualized support.

What if I feel like I need 1:1 support as well?

The live group format is built to give you real structure and momentum on its own, but if you want individual time on top of that, single 1:1 sessions are available to participants in this program, for up to 3 months after it ends. It's not a separate coaching package, it's a way to get focused, one-on-one time on your specific situation when you need it.

How long do I have access to the materials?

You'll have access to all replays and materials for 90 days after the program ends.

Is this only for lawyers, or does it work for other professionals too?

This program was built from years of working with women lawyers and corporate leaders in fast-paced environments navigating exactly this kind of decision, so if that's your background, you'll feel it was built for you. That said, the process, testing what's actually driving the pull to leave before you act on it, works for any high-achieving experienced professional facing a real career crossroads decision.

Is this confidential? What if someone from my company or firm is in the group?

Everything shared in the live sessions stays confidential. Because this is a small group and we'll be talking about real career situations, I want you to feel comfortable speaking openly. What's shared in the group stays in the group. I generally won't enroll two people from the same firm or company in the same cohort, unless they're friends or colleagues who want to participate together. If someone from your organization has already enrolled, I'll reach out privately to make sure you're both comfortable being in the same group. Spots are first come, first served.

How big is the group?

You're placed into a small cohort of 8 women or fewer, not one large group. That's intentional, it means real individual attention and a richer discussion each week.

What's your cancellation/refund policy?

If you attend live and actually participate for the first two weeks, and it's genuinely not working for you, you can request a refund. This isn't a no-questions-asked policy, it exists for people who show up and do the work, not for a change of mind before you've given it a real chance.

A Personal Note

If you've made it this far, there's a good chance something about your career has been asking for your attention.

I built this program because I know how hard it can be to make a career decision when you've worked incredibly hard to get where you are.

There's a lot wrapped up in it. Your ambition. Your identity. Your financial goals. Years of sacrifice and hard work. The opportunities you've earned. And when part of you wants something different, it can be hard to know what to trust.

I've worked with enough lawyers and leaders at this exact crossroads to know that the answer isn't always to leave. And it isn't always to stay. Sometimes something about the way you're working needs to change. Sometimes you've outgrown where you are. Sometimes you need to reconnect with and rediscover what you actually want and need before anything else.

That's why I built this program. I want you to have the space, structure and support to figure out what is actually true for you before you make your next move. And if you decide to make a change, I want you to know why you're making it and be able to stand behind that decision, even when the doubts inevitably show up.

I'm not here to tell you what to do with your career. I'm here to help you get clear enough to trust yourself with the decision. That’s what we do in this program.
